Leopard

An AI data processing unit for micro and mini satellites that runs machine-learning models on board, such as cloud detection and image segmentation.

Why it matters

Hyperspectral cameras generate huge files. Filtering and analyzing them in orbit means satellites downlink only useful results, saving bandwidth and time.

How the technology works

Leopard combines space-qualified processing hardware with KP Labs' algorithms. It flies on Intuition-1 and a variant, LeopardISS, runs in ESA's Columbus module on the ISS.

KP Labs also sells Antelope (for CubeSats) and Lion units.
