Intuition-1

KP Labs' 6U hyperspectral satellite, launched in November 2023, that captures 192 spectral bands and analyzes them on board with AI.

Why it matters

It shows that a small satellite can process demanding hyperspectral data in orbit, which matters for farming, environment and defense uses that need quick answers.

How the technology works

The camera records visible to near-infrared light in 192 narrow bands. The Leopard unit then runs models for tasks like cloud detection and segmentation so only relevant data goes to the ground.
