Nova
A larger Apex bus for payloads of 300 kg or more with about 1 kW of power, for heavier sensors and communications payloads.
Why it matters
Many defense and commercial missions need more power and mass than a small bus offers. Nova gives them a production-line option in that size class.
How the technology works
Nova is a bigger, higher-power low Earth orbit bus with extra built-in redundancy, offering about 1 kW of payload power over a seven-year design life. Apex lists its first Nova test satellite, Nova-1, as in orbit after a Q3 2026 launch.
