Aries

Apex's small satellite bus for payloads up to about 150 kg, offered in low Earth orbit and geostationary versions.

Why it matters

A ready-made bus lets a startup or government team fly a sensor in months instead of years, because the hardest parts of the spacecraft are already built and flight-tested.

How the technology works

Aries supplies power, pointing, propulsion and communications for a customer's payload. Apex builds them on a line at Factory One in Los Angeles.

The first Aries, SN1, launched in March 2024 carrying payloads for Anduril, Booz Allen and others.
