Space Factories

Orbital manufacturing as a service: a customer's production module rides inside a CarryAll container, makes product in orbit and comes back to Earth.

Why it matters

Companies interested in making drugs or optical fiber in microgravity usually cannot afford their own spacecraft and reentry system. A shared, standardized factory container lowers that barrier.

How the technology works

A separable Space Factory container handles pressure, temperature, data and safety, and only the innermost manufacturing module is custom. CarryAll handles transport, power and return.

Outpost's first product is StarFiber, a metal fluoride optical fiber.
