Halo
Muon's platform for building satellite constellations to order: a common spacecraft design plus a factory that can turn out many mission-specific satellites.
Why it matters
Customers who want their own constellation usually face years of custom engineering. Muon aims to make that closer to ordering from a production line, and is building a San Jose plant targeted at 500 spacecraft a year.
How the technology works
Muon pairs a standard satellite design with customer payloads and runs the resulting fleet. CEO Jonny Dyer describes the goal as an automated, high-mix, high-volume constellation factory.
Muon also bought thruster maker Starlight Engines.
