StarCom optical terminal
Laser communication terminal for satellites, designed to talk to other makers' terminals and to ground stations.
Why it matters
Satellites from different companies often cannot link to each other. Terminals that support several optical standards could let separate constellations share a network.
How the technology works
StarCom sends and receives data on a narrow laser beam. MBRYONICS says it supports the major optical standards, and ESA selected it to show interoperability with other terminal makers in orbit under HydRON.
