KSAT Hyper

A KSAT service that relays satellite data and commands through other spacecraft in orbit, so operators can reach their satellites and get data down without waiting for the next ground station pass.

Why it matters

Satellite data for defense, disaster response and emergencies loses value fast. Closing the gaps between ground station passes means data and new instructions move while they still matter.

How the technology works

Hyper routes traffic over an orbital relay network using radio and optical links, with software that picks the fastest route from space to the ground. It extends KSATlite coverage and supports real-time retasking.

KSAT has been demonstrating it with its Hyperion in-orbit relay test.
