XEO Series

Maritime antennas that switch electronically between Ka- and Ku-band service on satellites in different orbits.

Why it matters

Ships increasingly mix services from satellites in different orbits. One antenna that handles both bands and both geostationary and medium-orbit networks reduces hardware and keeps a backup link.

How the technology works

Intellian describes XEO as the first commercially available Ka/Ku-band electronically switchable, multi-orbit antennas. A single button switches between Ku-band and Ka-band, and the Ka-band feed also supports a medium-orbit constellation.

Models include the X100D, X130D and X150D.
