Baguette One

A suborbital test rocket that will fly HyPrSpace's hybrid engine for the first time, from a French defense test range. It is the step before the company's orbital rocket.

Why it matters

A successful Baguette One flight would show the hybrid engine works outside a test stand before HyPrSpace builds its orbital rocket around it.

How the technology works

The engine pairs a solid high-density polyethylene fuel grain with liquid oxygen. The flight sits inside PADA1, a 35 million euro France 2030 project that HyPrSpace leads with CT Engineering and Telespazio France.

European Spaceflight listed the flight for 2026; the company site now shows 2027 from Biscarrosse.
