Keystar
A planned uncrewed factory base in orbit with up to 50 kilowatts of power that Helogen says will be fully operational in 2028.
Why it matters
Single small satellites limit how much can be made per flight. A permanent, powered base would let Helogen run larger and longer production runs.
How the technology works
Helogen describes Keystar as a lights-out factory platform supplying power, cooling, autonomy, communications and docking for manufacturing modules. A defense version is called Keyshield.
