Ku-band multi-orbit user terminal

Flat Ku-band satellite terminal that steers its beam electronically and can work with geostationary and low-orbit satellites while using less power than typical phased arrays.

Why it matters

Electronically steered terminals are usually power-hungry and expensive. A cheaper, lower-power design could bring multi-orbit links to more vehicles and sites, and gives Europe a home-grown supplier.

How the technology works

Greenerwave uses a reconfigurable intelligent surface, a panel of smart materials that reshapes the radio wave, controlled by physics-based algorithms that steer the beam in real time with low energy use.
