Turn-key ADCS

A plug-and-play attitude determination and control system that tells a small satellite which way it is facing and turns it to point where it needs to.

Why it matters

Imaging and communications satellites are only useful if they point accurately. Buying a proven pointing system spares a builder one of the hardest subsystems to design.

How the technology works

The system combines sensors (star trackers, sun and Earth horizon sensors, magnetometers) with actuators (reaction wheels and magnetorquer rods) and closed-loop control software. Modules can be swapped to suit satellites from CubeSats up to about 1 ton.
