Cascade Array
A deep space communications service built from a network of smaller dishes instead of one giant antenna. A first mini array is planned for late 2026, with more capacity in 2027.
Why it matters
Deep space missions compete for time on a few huge government antennas. More capacity from commercial arrays would let more lunar and planetary missions talk to Earth.
How the technology works
Digital beamforming combines several smaller dishes to act like one large aperture. Cascade says this is cheaper and more reliable than a single big dish, and lets customers pick the performance level they need during a mission.
