Kinetica-1

A four-stage solid-fuel rocket that carries about 1.5 tonnes to sun-synchronous orbit. It often launches many small satellites at once and holds a Chinese record of 26 on one flight, per CAS Space.

Why it matters

CAS Space says it holds more than 60% of China's private launch market, largely on Kinetica-1 flights, giving Chinese satellite makers a regular ride without booking a state rocket.

How the technology works

Four solid-fuel stages stack to about 30 m tall on a 2.65 m core. Solid motors are stored fueled, so the rocket needs little propellant handling at the pad.

A fairing up to 3.35 m wide lets it carry many small satellites on one flight.
