Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS)

Satellite-based system that helps utilities plan tree trimming across their whole network by risk.

Why it matters

Trees that grow into power lines cause outages and can start fires. AiDASH says its technology has cut vegetation-caused outages during storms by 15%.

How the technology works

AiDASH analyzes very high resolution satellite imagery, refreshed up to 12 times a year, to detect vegetation encroachment and terrain change near lines, and supports risk-based vegetation management across the network.
