Propulsion test stands and test services
Hot-fire test stands in Durango, Colorado, with a new site under way in Tulsa, that Agile uses for its own engines and offers as a testing service, including tests of Firefly's Spectre lunar lander engines.
Why it matters
Rocket engine testing is a bottleneck for small space companies that cannot afford their own stands. Shared test capacity shortens development for lander and spacecraft builders.
How the technology works
Agile operates vacuum and hypergolic hot-fire stands in Durango, including its Animas facility for engines over 300 pounds, and has tested Firefly Aerospace's Spectre engines there under a testing services contract. It is building a Tulsa Space Test Center and won a SpaceWERX SBIR Phase II contract for a Mobile Payload Processing Center.
