ScienceTaxi

A family of automated, temperature-controlled lab units that carry cell and tissue experiments into orbit and run them there.

Why it matters

Cells and tissues respond differently without gravity, which can add a new angle to drug and biology research. Ready-made automated hardware lets companies run those experiments without building their own flight equipment.

How the technology works

ScienceTaxi units are modular, autonomous lab systems: two incubators (BioSpin and BioHub) and a bioprinter (BioForge). Outlier Space describes Yuri's ScienceTaxi hardware as flight-proven on multiple ISS research missions.
