TrustPoint C-band navigation satellites
A planned fleet of small low-orbit satellites that send navigation and timing signals in C-band, separate from GPS, so vehicles, infrastructure and military users have a backup that is harder to jam.
Why it matters
GPS and similar systems share L-band frequencies, so jamming can knock them out together. A system in a different band gives an independent source, which defense users and critical infrastructure operators want.
How the technology works
TrustPoint puts its C-band navigation payload on standard commercial satellite buses rather than building its own. It has launched three demonstration satellites, four more are being built under a Space Force award, and EnduroSat US will build 40 more in three production tranches, for 47 in total.
