Space Services

Spire builds and operates satellites for customers who want their own payloads or constellations in orbit without running a satellite program.

Why it matters

Spire already runs a large small-satellite fleet. Selling that capability as a service shortens the path to orbit for agencies and companies with an instrument but no spacecraft team.

How the technology works

Customers bring a payload or mission; Spire supplies the satellite and operates it through its Constellation Management Platform. Spire says its factories in the US, UK and Europe can produce 300 to 400 satellites a year, including a facility in Boulder, Colorado.
