Suborbital Accelerator
A 33-meter spinning launcher at Spaceport America that fires test payloads skyward and is also rented out for high-g testing of satellite parts.
Why it matters
It is the working proof of SpinLaunch's idea, and it gives other companies a way to check whether their hardware survives extreme acceleration.
How the technology works
A vacuum chamber 33 meters across holds a spinning arm that releases test payloads at 800 to 5,000 mph. SpinLaunch offers it to customers as a satellite qualification and lunar testing facility.
