Sovera broadband constellation

A planned network of satellites in low Earth orbit that would deliver broadband to countries and mobile operators, built so national partners keep control of the service.

Why it matters

Fast satellite internet in low orbit is now dominated by one U.S. company. Countries that want that kind of coverage without depending on a foreign operator have few options.

How the technology works

Sovera calls itself a fast follower: it aims to match the technology and performance of existing low-orbit networks. Its internship posting lists work on phased-array antennas, satellite modems, network routing and ground station software.
