Horizon spacecraft (Eclipse family)
Satellite platform from Sierra Space's Eclipse family, picked by the Space Development Agency for 18 missile warning and tracking satellites.
Why it matters
The contract makes Sierra Space a supplier for the U.S. missile tracking layer and gives it satellite production revenue alongside its spaceplane and habitat work.
How the technology works
Sierra Space designs, builds and delivers the satellites on its Horizon bus under a firm fixed price agreement with the Space Development Agency for the Tranche 3 tracking layer.
