HotSat
SatVu's thermal imaging satellites, which measure heat on the ground at 3.5-meter resolution so users can see which buildings, plants or vehicles are running.
Why it matters
Heat reveals activity a normal photo can't, like whether a refinery unit is running or where a city traps heat, and it works at night. SatVu says its 3.5-meter thermal images are the sharpest commercially available.
How the technology works
HotSat satellites carry mid-wave infrared sensors that record emitted heat rather than reflected light. HotSat-2 launched in March 2026 and HotSat-3 in October 2026.
HotSat-4 and HotSat-5 are under contract, with launch booked through RIDE!.
