Sateliot 5G satellites for devices
Small satellites that connect standard 5G IoT devices directly from orbit, sold wholesale to mobile carriers so they can cover farms, ships and remote sites.
Why it matters
Most of the planet has no cell coverage. Because Sateliot follows the 5G standard, a carrier's existing IoT devices can roam onto the satellites instead of needing a separate satellite modem.
How the technology works
The nanosatellites work as 5G non-terrestrial network base stations in low Earth orbit. Devices send small messages as a satellite passes overhead, and the data reaches the carrier's core network.
Sateliot plans a constellation of more than 500 satellites.
