Radian One

Planned reusable spaceplane that would reach orbit in a single stage, carrying people and light cargo, and land on a runway like an airliner.

Why it matters

A vehicle that needs no booster stages and flies from runways could make trips to orbit more like airline operations, with quick turnaround between flights.

How the technology works

Radian describes a fully integrated vehicle with no staging that takes off horizontally and lands on a runway. The company is testing subscale prototypes first; full-scale flights were targeted for 2028 as of 2024.
