Connecta satellite network for devices
Low Earth orbit IoT network of 16 active satellites that collects data from low-power sensors using LoRaWAN, offered in Turkiye with Turk Telekom and licensed in several other countries.
Why it matters
Connecta gives Turkiye its own satellite IoT capability, and Plan-S builds more than 90% of the subsystems in-house, which keeps costs and control at home.
How the technology works
Sensors on the ground send short LoRaWAN messages to Connecta satellites passing overhead, which relay them to the ground. Plan-S says it plans to add NB-IoT support and grow the network toward 200 satellites.
Licensing is complete in Turkiye, Australia, Sweden and Denmark.
