RAVEN
A servicing spacecraft being developed by a Polish consortium led by PIAP Space under ESA, meant to show rendezvous, docking, refueling and controlled deorbit in orbit in 2029.
Why it matters
It would give Europe, and Poland in particular, its own satellite-servicing capability rather than relying on foreign providers.
How the technology works
PIAP Space leads the work with Creotech Instruments, the Lukasiewicz Institute of Aviation and the Military University of Technology. The project entered Phase B1 in October 2025, which covers defining the first demonstration mission and designing the spacecraft.
