Cryox

A 30 kN methane and liquid oxygen engine Pangea offers for rocket upper stages, kick stages and landers, the stages that push payloads into their final orbit.

Why it matters

Upper and kick stages are where many new launchers and orbital transfer vehicles need a reliable engine. Buying one avoids building a second engine program.

How the technology works

Cryox uses an electric-pump cycle instead of turbomachinery, can restart several times and throttle down to 10%, and is aimed at upper stages of small and medium launchers, orbital insertion and landers. It sits above Pangea's Nereus thrusters in size.
