Orbite astronaut training
Training for private citizens who want to fly to space, from an introductory astronaut orientation to suborbital training and multiweek orbital preparation, plus help choosing and booking a commercial flight.
Why it matters
Government astronaut corps train their own people. Paying passengers on commercial flights need somewhere else to learn how to fly safely and comfortably.
How the technology works
Orbite sorts its offer into three steps. Experience programs use analogs on Earth such as Antarctica and the sea.
Train covers astronaut orientation, a five-night suborbital course with suit fitting, and multiweek orbital training. Fly is mission management: Orbite finds, vets and secures a seat on a commercial flight.
