Odin collision insurance
Insurance against debris collisions for satellite operators, underwritten through Lloyd's of London and tied to Odin's impact sensors.
Why it matters
Small operators often fly uninsured because standard policies are costly. A collision-only policy backed by measured impact data gives them a cheaper way to cover a real risk.
How the technology works
Odin's onboard Black Boxes record when and where debris hits a spacecraft, and that impact data supports claims and pricing. Odin says the cover is underwritten through Lloyd's of London and costs far less than traditional in-orbit insurance.
Arkisys offers it to customers flying on its Cutter spacecraft.
