Satellite platforms

MinoSpace's eight satellite platforms, from 10 kg to a 1,000 kg geostationary communications bus, used for optical, radar and communications satellites.

Why it matters

MinoSpace was one of the first commercial satellite companies in China after the sector began opening in late 2014, giving Chinese satellite internet and Earth observation projects a supplier outside the state-owned firms.

How the technology works

The platforms cover remote sensing, a flexible communications, IoT and navigation bus, and a GEO communications bus, with a 2,000 kg platform planned. MinoSpace said it could build more than 50 satellites a year and had 24 in orbit by June 2024, including 0.5 m optical and X-band radar satellites.
