Spaceport Nova Scotia

A commercial launch site near Canso, Nova Scotia, for small and medium rockets heading to orbits from 45 degrees up to sun-synchronous. Isar Aerospace plans orbital launches there from 2028.

Why it matters

The operator calls it Canada's first commercial orbital launch complex. A working spaceport on the Atlantic coast would give Canadian and allied launchers a place to fly from inside Canada.

How the technology works

The site reaches inclinations from 45.1 to 98.1 degrees with no overflight of populated areas, according to the operator. It has hosted T-Minus Barracuda suborbital flights used to refine launch, safety and security procedures.
