Rogue

Magdrive's smallest electric plasma thruster, rated at up to 10 mN of thrust on 100 W, which completed its first in-orbit demonstration in February 2026.

Why it matters

Electric thrusters are usually fuel-efficient but weak, so maneuvers take weeks. Higher-thrust electric propulsion would let satellites move quickly without carrying heavy chemical fuel.

How the technology works

Rogue is an electric plasma thruster that, according to Magdrive, uses solid metal as propellant. It draws up to 100 W of charging power, and Magdrive lists 3 kNs of total impulse.

Larger models, Warlock (30 mN) and Paladin (over 1 N), are listed for launch in 2027 and 2028.
