TreeNet

Leaf Space's always-on service, launched in 2026, that links satellites and ground stations into one mesh network so operators can reach their satellites without waiting for a scheduled pass.

Why it matters

Leaf Space says most low-orbit satellites can talk to the ground only about 10% of the time. Closer to continuous contact helps missions that need fast tasking or quick data return.

How the technology works

Units called TreeNodes let satellites relay data to each other and to Leaf Space's Leaf Line ground network, so a satellite out of sight of a ground station can still be reached through another node.
