JAOPS Operations as a Service

JAOPS offers to fly customers' spacecraft from its own mission control, handling planning, monitoring and anomaly response, and can also build a turnkey control center for them.

Why it matters

Many new satellite teams are small and cannot staff a control room day and night. Outsourcing operations to a shared, multi-mission center spreads that cost across missions.

How the technology works

JAOPS builds on Yamcs, an open-source mission control system, adding its own gateway, tools and simulators. It offers turnkey mission control centers, operational reviews, operator training and certification, and full operations service.

Its October 2026 seed round funds its first mission control center, and it plans multi-mission centers that can act as prime or backup control.
