Hanbit-Nano
A two-stage, 22-meter small rocket launched from Brazil. Its first orbital try in December 2025 failed; the second flight is now targeted for no earlier than the first half of 2027.
Why it matters
Innospace is a Korean private company trying to reach orbit with its own rocket. A working Hanbit-Nano would give small-satellite makers a dedicated ride from a near-equator site in Brazil.
How the technology works
Hanbit-Nano is a two-stage rocket about 1.4 meters wide with a liftoff mass near 18.8 tonnes and about 245 kN of liftoff thrust. Innospace builds hybrid rocket engines, which pair a solid fuel with a liquid oxidizer, and describes its propulsion as non-toxic.
It flies from the Alcantara Space Center in northern Brazil.
