GRU lunar hotel
A planned inflatable hotel on the Moon for up to four guests at a time, preceded by smaller test missions for inflatables and brick-making from Moon soil.
Why it matters
It is one of the first attempts to sell lunar tourism directly to customers, and its test payloads double as demonstrations of habitat and construction methods.
How the technology works
Mission 1 (2029) puts a roughly 10 kg payload on a NASA CLPS lander to test an inflatable structure and geopolymer bricks made from regolith. Mission 2 (2031) deploys a subscale inflatable inside a lunar pit.
Mission 3 (2032) is the first hotel, built on Earth and flown on a heavy lander, designed to last ten years.
