Mission Drishti
GalaxEye's first satellite, carrying both a radar imager and a multispectral camera, which the company calls the first to fly both on one platform.
Why it matters
Radar works through cloud and at night; optical pictures are easier to interpret. Capturing both at once and fusing them gives users a clearer image without stitching data from two different satellites taken at different times.
How the technology works
Drishti's OptoSAR payload pairs an X-band radar (stripmap and spotlight modes, up to 0.9 m resolution, 30 km swath) with a seven-band multispectral imager (3.6 m, 10 km swath). Fused products reach 1.8 m.
The 190 kg satellite launched on a Falcon 9 from Vandenberg in 2026 and was being commissioned in May 2026.
