Ceres-2

A larger version of the Ceres-1 solid rocket meant to carry up to about 1.6 tonnes to low orbit. Its first flight in January 2026 failed.

Why it matters

Solid rockets can be stored and launched quickly. A bigger Ceres would let Galactic Energy serve customers whose satellites outgrew Ceres-1 without waiting for a liquid-fueled rocket.

How the technology works

Three solid-fuel stages in a 3.35-meter-wide body, topped by a liquid-fueled upper stage for final orbit placement.
