SARGE BLK3
A reusable suborbital rocket for flight tests, reentry and heat-shield testing, and microgravity research, under an FAA operator license.
Why it matters
Developers of orbital rockets and defense systems need to test parts in real flight. A rocket that lands and flies again can cut the cost of each test.
How the technology works
SARGE launches vertically, carries payloads above most of the atmosphere, and returns for recovery and reuse. BLK3 is the next-generation precision version; EXOS is moving its license to the FAA's newer Part 450 rules.
