FEEP electric propulsion systems

Modular field-emission electric thrusters that give nano, micro and small satellites a way to move and change their position in orbit.

Why it matters

Small satellites without propulsion cannot change orbit or reposition themselves. A ready-made thruster module gives them that ability without each builder designing its own engine.

How the technology works

Field-Emission Electric Propulsion uses a strong electric field to pull ions from an indium-based liquid metal propellant and accelerate them out of the thruster. ENPULSION builds the units as modular systems and says it has delivered more than 320 of them.
