P-30 and P-90 satellite platforms

Dhruva Space's nanosatellite (P-30) and microsatellite (P-90) buses for customer missions, plus its LEAP missions that fly other organizations' payloads.

Why it matters

India opened its space sector to private firms only recently. A domestic bus supplier lets Indian startups and agencies fly payloads without building spacecraft themselves.

How the technology works

Dhruva plans to fly customer missions on its P-30 nanosatellite platform, which its site lists as a technology demonstrator, and its larger P-90 microsatellite platform. The company launched eight payloads in the two years to April 2024, including the Thybolt satellites in November 2022 and the LEAP-TD mission in January 2024.
