Nebula-2
A planned heavy rocket from Deep Blue Aerospace meant to lift more than 25 tonnes to low Earth orbit, with a reusable first stage.
Why it matters
Megaconstellations need rockets that can launch dozens of satellites at once. A reusable heavy lifter from a private company would give China more of that capacity outside the state-owned launch firms.
How the technology works
The design scales up Nebula-1 to a rocket about 70 m tall and 5 m wide, powered by eleven Thunder-RS kerosene and liquid-oxygen engines, each a 130-ton-class engine Deep Blue builds itself and aims to reuse more than 10 times.
