Saturn-400
Blue Canyon's largest small-satellite bus, carrying payloads up to about 600 kg with up to 2 kW of power and an optional control moment gyroscope for fast, steady pointing.
Why it matters
Bigger sensors for defense and science need a larger, more agile bus. Offering one built from the same parts as smaller models lowers risk and cost for customers.
How the technology works
Saturn-400 shares software and components with Blue Canyon's smaller buses. Customers choose either an integrated control moment gyroscope, which tilts a spinning rotor to turn the satellite quickly, or Blue Canyon's RW4, RW8 or RW16 reaction wheels.
