Axiom private astronaut missions

Two-week-class trips to the ISS on SpaceX Dragon for private and government-sponsored astronauts, arranged and run by Axiom. Four have flown since 2022; Ax-5 is planned for 2027.

Why it matters

These missions are how Axiom earns revenue and trains crews today, and they give countries without their own spacecraft a way to send astronauts to orbit.

How the technology works

Crews fly on SpaceX's Crew Dragon and stay aboard the ISS for up to about two weeks. Axiom sells the seats and research time to countries, companies and individuals, trains the crews and runs the missions.
