Corvus spacecraft
Astro Digital's modular satellite platforms: Corvus-16U, Corvus-Micro (30 kg payload) and Corvus-XL (100 kg payload), with ongoing operations included.
Why it matters
A customer with a sensor can buy a proven Corvus and have Astro Digital fly it, which avoids building a satellite team.
How the technology works
Corvus platforms share a modular design. Astro Digital lists Corvus-6U with flight heritage since 2017, Corvus-16U since 2019 and Corvus-Micro and Corvus-XL since 2021, with a larger Corvus-Raven coming, and says it has delivered 40 satellites.
SpaceNews reported that Sony ordered two Astro Digital satellites to test laser communications.
