ANDROMEDA

Argotec's planned constellation of 24 small satellites around the Moon to relay data between lunar missions and Earth and help them navigate, with an emphasis on the south pole.

Why it matters

Landers, rovers and crews at the lunar south pole often cannot see Earth directly. A relay network in lunar orbit would give them steadier links and positioning.

How the technology works

Argotec plans 24 microsatellites built on its HAWK platform in elliptical lunar frozen orbits, chosen for long visibility over the south pole and little need for station-keeping. They would carry Moon-to-Earth and Moon-to-Moon links plus navigation signals.
