TrueTwin

A digital twin that builds a working virtual copy of a planned satellite from its hardware, software and drivers, so teams can fly the mission and find problems before buying hardware.

Why it matters

Finding design and integration problems in software is cheaper than finding them after hardware is bought or launched. Rehearsing the whole mission virtually lets a team check its choices before committing money.

How the technology works

TrueTwin combines the flight and subsystem software, hardware models and drivers of a planned configuration into a virtual satellite that accepts real operational commands and returns responses. In 2024 Antaris said it would integrate TrueTwin with Aalyria's Spacetime to simulate satellite mesh networks.
