Leo Nano, Leo Pro and Leo Ultra terminals

The flat antennas customers will use to connect to Amazon Leo: a small 100 Mbps model, a mid-size 400 Mbps model, and a 1 Gbps enterprise model.

Why it matters

The antenna is usually the most expensive part of satellite internet for the customer. Amazon designed its own to keep costs down and to offer one small enough to carry, which matters for whether the service can be priced for ordinary households.

How the technology works

Each terminal is an electronically steered antenna: instead of a moving dish, it shifts its beam to follow satellites as they cross the sky. Leo Nano is about 7 by 7 inches with downloads up to 100 Mbps, Leo Pro is about 11 by 11 inches with up to 400 Mbps, and Leo Ultra is a 20 by 30 inch enterprise unit with up to 1 Gbps down and 400 Mbps up.
